Undergarments and a lovely silk gown from the late 1830’s to early 1840’s. That quilted petticoat is sooo 😍😍😍😍. Notice that hanging pockets are still common during the early Victorian era and not just relegated to the Georgian. Quilted Petticoat and Silk Gown. c. 1830-1840. CHS Collection. 2003. #aimeevictorian #historicalsewing #historicalfashion #1840sfashion #victorianfashion #quiltedpetticoat #historicalundergarments
Just a few spaces left in my Georgian Apron In-Person Sewing course. Learn to draft and sew a 1770’s or 1810’s apron with hands-on instruction. Class will be held in the afternoon on November 4th @hullfamilyhome1 Apron sample shown above is a mid 18th century pinner apron made in a black linen. Black was a surprisingly common color for seamstresses as thread and fabrics were easy to see against the black background. Stay tuned for sample 1810’s apron images coming soon! Link in stories or in my bio (click Etsy Shop Link) to secure your spot now! #aimeevictorian #historicalsewing #georgiansewing #georgianfashion #historicalapron #pinnerapron #sewingclass #sewinginstructor #sewingworkshop #historicalpatterns
